Make sure to install the GRUB boot loader, as this will let you actually boot into Ubuntu. Leave everything unchecked–you don’t want to install anything other than the bare-bones setup. It will download packages off the Internet, and eventually it will ask you about what software you wish to install. Once that’s done, let Ubuntu proceed with updates. This is just a typewriter, so we won’t be emphasizing security. The reason for this is that we want the computer to automatically log in once it boots, and it won’t be able to do that if you encrypt the home directory.
